Once a stag was drinking at a stream. He happened to see his appearance in the water. He was pleased to see his beautiful horns, yet when he saw his slender legs he felt sad as he suspected they were terrible. All of a sudden he saw a pack of dogs at a distance. He ran as fast as his legs could support him. Before long he deserted the dogs far. He had to pass through a thick woodland of shrubs. His horns got caught in a hedge. He made a decent attempt to haul his horns out of it yet all in vain. At this point the dogs had come up. They fell upon him and shredded him.
